ADVOC8 needs a Warehouse Shift Leader – Fulfillment with a background in shipping logistics to lead a team of associates in our Hyattsville, MD fulfillment center. The Warehouse Shift Leader – Fulfillment will be responsible for leading a team of Warehouse Associates in the day-today operations of our fulfillment center during a designated shift. The Warehouse Shift Leader – Fulfillment will play an important role in the warehouse by ensuring the efficiency and productivity of the Warehouse team. Your day-to-day will include supervising and diving in with the team to execute shipping and fulfillment operations within the MerchRaise warehouse. The right candidate will have a strong commitment to getting the job done, holding your team accountable as well as proven leadership skills. Essential Job Responsibilities: Production Work -Leads and administers tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures of the warehouse. -Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials to production lines is in accordance with production schedules and to quality standards -Ensure an efficient and productive warehouse shift which is able to fulfill operational and customer demand by adjusting teams and various tasks as needed Fulfillment Team -Work with management to prepare weekly schedules and identify any required changes needed throughout the week to minimize under- or overstaffing -Approve timesheets and oversee break periods and time punches -Train new and existing team members on tasks -Report issues to management team as necessary and complete reports regarding violations of company policy Warehouse Needs -Utilize team members to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse -Ensure safety and security standards are always met Requirements -High School Diploma or GED -A minimum of 2 years of warehouse and/or fulfillment experience with up to one (1) year in a related supervisory function -Experience operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift or stacker and a pallet jack -Tech-savvy – must be familiar with Excel and have the ability to easily learn new software -Ability to multi-task, have attention to detail and be self-motivated -Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles for deliveries -Ability to lift up to 50lbs This position is based at our warehouse office in Hyattsville, MD.
