MERCER COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey has been expanding the number of publicly listed COVID-19 vaccination sites, and the state continues to announce new locations in Mercer County and elsewhere. The state has provided a list of vaccine sites in your area. Some are accepting appointments directly, but some are not (see the area/county's list of vaccine sites below). Vaccine sites across the state were closed earlier this week due to the nor'easter. Appointments that were postponed when six vaccine "mega-sites" closed this week due to the winter storm are currently being rescheduled, state officials said Wednesday. Anyone affected by closures Monday and Tuesday should've received a call, text or email from those operating the vaccination site to have their appointment rescheduled, Deputy Health Commissioner Dr. David Aldinaro said. As of Friday Mercer County administered a total of 25,450 vaccines. New Jersey recently expanded the list of eligible people, allowing police and fire professionals and people older than 65 to get the vaccine.
