Description

90% of high performers possess high EQ while 80% of low performers have low EQ. We'll explore EQ as the key to success in the modern world. Members Only Special Event! Event Description The concept of Emotional Quotient (EQ) or Emotional Intelligence was coined by Peter Salvoes and John D Mayar in the 1990’s. The EQ is defined as the ability to understand, manage and effectively express your own feelings and navigate through the spoken and unspoken responses of those around you. Research around the relationship between EQ and Performance reveal 90% of high performers possess EQ, while 80% of low performers have low EQ. EQ will overcome intelligence and even a lack of education. The good news is, while IQ and personality remain fairly stable EQ can be improved through education, understanding, behavioral adjustment and practice. Liz walks through the fundamentals related to EQ and teaches us- • The five competencies in the Emotional Competency Framework • how to quickly identify the EQ of those around you and determine a course of action. • How to communicate the connection between EQ and performance. • How to reduce negative emotion, stay cool and manage stress, remain proactive and bounce back from adversity. • Easy-to-apply strategies to reduce stress. Event Details This luncheon is being offered as a hybrid event, meaning there will be an option to attend in-person as well as an option to attend virtually via Zoom meeting link. In-person registration will be limited to a maximum of 40 people, which amounts to 40% of the venue capacity. Tables that typically seat up to 10 people will be allowed no more than 4 per table. Lunches will individually bagged and labeled with participant’s name based on registration selections. We ask that attendees wear a mask at all times other than while eating or drinking.
