Vineyard Management Company is in search of a full-time and experienced Mechanic. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy work place. GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Mechanic to do maintenance on Ag equipment. • This position requires specific knowledge of diesel pickups, diesel trucks, electrical, hydraulic, air brakes, mechanical systems and components. • Work safely and follow safety policies and procedures. • Complete related paperwork required to complete the job (work orders, parts receipts, misc.). • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision. • Must have extensive mechanic experience- required, and knowledge of basic hand tools and air tools. • Diagnose and trouble shoot problems, and make repairs and adjustments—Diagnostic ability • Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES: • Must have a clean driving record / Class A-License. • Must be able to operate all Class A trucks. • May be required to complete DOT Physical. • Required pre-drug and alcohol screening test. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms. • The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, or sit. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of this job. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. • The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/ or humid conditions; high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. • The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, risk of electrical shock or vibration. • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
