Penguin Home Solutions is HIRING!!! Installer works at construction sites performing tasks such as installing photovoltaic (PV) solar systems, and building various structures. Responsibilities include assembling, install, or maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment, blueprints and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. May perform minor electrical work such as current checks. General Accountabilities Reads plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities. Measures, marks, or records openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed. Signals construction equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery. Erects or dismantles ladders, scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures. Assemble all components of photovoltaic solar systems. Electrically wire solar AC/DC system. Structurally mount racking and electrical equipment. Maintain inventory of equipment for each solar installation. Maintain a clean work site. Mixes, pours, spreads, smoothen and finishes concrete or cement. Sprays materials such as water, steam, paint, or stucco through hose to clean, coat, or seal surfaces. Applies caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices. Grinds, sands, or polishes surfaces such as concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring. Demolishes buildings, saws lumber, dismantles forms, removes projections from concrete, mounts pipe hangers, and cuts and attaches insulating material. Job Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: A few months to one year of related experience Must have electrical and roof racking experience Must have a valid state driver's license Must have a clean driving record Ability to adhere to and ensure team adheres to all safety policies, procedures and guidelines Must have electrical and roof racking experience Motivated with an attention to detail, safety and productivity Well skilled with the use of power tools, hand tools and possess the ability to train others how to use them safely.
