BRIDGEPORT, CT — According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 5,902 Bridgeport residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. There are 144,399 Bridgeport residents and 4 percent of them have received their first dose. Bridgeport has 6,914 residents over the age of 75 and 1,613 of them have received their first dose or 23 percent, according to state health officials. Since the pandemic began in March, Bridgeport has reported 14,465 cases and 254 deaths.
