Summary: Packing, assembling, and distribution of goods. Experience as a Class C, Bobtail truck driver is preferred. Must have a Clean Driver's license and furniture moving experience. Commercial furniture moving preferred. Additional experience as a warehouse worker, warehouse laborer, is highly desired. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Package and wrap goods for appropriate shipment on a daily basis. • Assemble goods into containers, place on palettes, and assemble orders according to proper location. • Wrap palettes with plastic wrap and label accordingly. Operate forklift, hand truck, palette and electric jack as needed. • Maintain cleanliness and assure the proper functioning of company trucks. • Deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable state, local and DOT regulations. • Assure orders and documentation provided to designated customer are accurate. • Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures. • Perform other related duties as needed or assigned. • Maintain a neat and orderly workplace at all times, including, but not limited to moving pallets, sweeping, and removing/disposing of debris in trucks and in the warehouse. • Follows safety procedures in accordance with Sierra Valley Moving and Storage approved training and report any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
