Yes the holiday season is over! But the scammers are still largely active EVERYWHERE! A lot of them are easy to spot but some aren’t! I hate seeing people being taken advantage of just because they want pets at maybe a lower cost! Keep in mind when you’re interested in a pet you have the right to this information: 1. Ask for references 2. Ask who their vet is and get their information. Talk to that vet 3. Ask to video chat with them and the pet you're wanting. If they say no (for whatever reason) then look somewhere else 4. Do your research on that person or kennel 5. If you see an image you like, do a reverse image search. See if that image is found somewhere else on the internet. A lot of the scammers steal photos from owners on social media. 6. If you have a "gut" feeling about a person being a scammer, always go with the gut. 7. Pay close attention to the description and photos. Most of the time the don’t match! Remember... Keeping yourself safe is up to YOU. 🐾💕💙🐾
