COVENTRY, RI — A Massachusetts woman led Coventry police on a low-speed chase across several towns Thursday evening in a stolen Boston fire pickup truck. Alina Dunham, 20, of Quincy, Massachusetts is facing several charges. The chase started a little after 6:30 p.m., when police said they received several calls of a person driving a truck on a wheel rim on Tiogue Avenue. Officers tried to get the driver to pull over, police said, but she kept going, eventually crossing into West Warwick. Police continue to follow her through several neighborhoods and onto the highway before Dunham finally stopped in an East Greenwich driveway, when she was arrested, according to the department. According to police, the vehicle was a marked Boston Fire Department truck, which was reported stolen from the Boston Fire Department Academy in Quincy earlier in the day Thursday. The officer involved sustained minor injuries, police said. Police said they do not believe Dunham was intoxicated and she did not break the speed limit at any point during the chase. No other injuries or property damage were reported.
