LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles police and sheriff's deputies will be out in force looking to catch intoxicated drivers over the super bowl weekend.
Police in Los Angels County have numerous saturation patrols and DUI checkpoints that began Thursday and will continue through Sunday.
"If you are watching the game at home and plan to have a drink or two, stay at home", LAPD Commander Woodyard said. "Have a family member who hasn't been drinking go out on your behalf or have your food delivered."
Super Bowl LV between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. PST Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Friday, February 5, 2021 DUI Checkpoint from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Slauson Avenue and Figueroa Street in Los Angeles Saturday, February 6, 2021 DUI Saturation Patrol from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. in Wilshire Area DUI Checkpoint from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Glenoaks Boulevard and Truesdale Street in Sun Valley Sunday, February 7, 2021 DUI Saturation Patrol from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. in Van Nuys Area DUI Checkpoint from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Figueroa Street in Los Angeles
