PITTSBURGH, PA — If you plan on drinking on Super Bowl Sunday, it would be unwise to drive. Pittsburgh police and PennDOT's Western Alliance-Team DUI Program will set up sobriety checkpoints and be conducting roving DUI patrols.
City police will run checkpoints and patrols throughout Pittsburgh from 5 p.m. on Sunday to 3 a.m. Monday. The measures are in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and PennDOT's Impaired Driving Enforcement Campaign for Super Bowl weekend.
PennDOT's Western Alliance- Team DUI Program consists of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, and numerous local police departments that conduct sobriety checkpoints and DUI patrols across Western Pennsylvania.
