Description
DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department's K-9 unit recently assisted with a major drug bust with a neighboring agency
Officer Andrew Hochmuth and K-9 Baron aided a neighboring agency in the drug seizure and arrest, the department said.
According to police, this week's bust was related to an earlier traffic stop that occurred on Jan. 29, 2021 in Bedminster, which led to a tip regarding a truck possibly up to no good in Lehigh County.
As a result, Central Bucks Regional Police Officer Andrew Hochmuth and K-9 Baron were called to the scene of a tractor trailer on Feb. 4 to assist a neighboring law enforcement agency.
Once on site, K-9 Barron alerted officers to drugs in the truck.
A search warrant was obtained, which resulted in the seizure of 10 kilos of heroin, fentanyl and various other drugs and cash.
Pending drug testing, police said the narcotics have an approximate street value of over $4 million.
