Pegasus Aviation Services, LLC has positions open at the Fairbanks International Airport for personnel interested in a challenging aviation career. TO APPLY PLEASE VISIT Ramp Service Lead (CSR’s) SUMMARY Ramp Service Leads (CSR’s) are responsible for load planning/cargo loading/offloading and oversight of all ground handling tasks associated with large cargo aircraft. CSR’s oversee the daily activities of ramp crews of up to 15 subordinate employees. CSR’s will also be responsible for the performance of maintenance (preventive and on-demand) of aircraft ground support equipment (motorized and non-motorized, gasoline and diesel fueled). This CSR position will report directly to the Station Manager. Essential Duties: • Responsible for maintaining safety and security of ramp activities at all times. • Conduct day to day interface with customer’s staff. • Provide leadership and training to Pegasus Ramp Service Agent (RSA) staff. • Perform aircraft weight and balance calculations. • Operate all ground service equipment to include heavy cargo loaders. • Operate aircraft de-icing equipment • General maintenance of ground service equipment. • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Station Manager. Minimum Qualifications: • Be at least 18 years of age • Possess a valid driver’s license • Must be willing to work in inclement weather • Must possess excellent communication skills • Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably • Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints • Self-motivated, team player • Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules • Able to work without direct supervision • Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history and pre-employment drug test Basic Skills Required Language Skills: • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Write routine reports and correspondence. • Speak effectively one-to-one and before groups of customers or employees of the organization Math Skills: • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Abilities: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands: Moderate. The CSR on occasion may lift or move (with help) up to 200 pounds, and/or more frequently lift or move 60 pounds. CSR’s are regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. CSR’s routinely work outside for a portion and are exposed to all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can vary dramatically depending on location and time of day. Use of provided hearing protection or acceptable alternative is required.
