Click here to apply: JOB SUMMARY: To support long term growth and sustainability, the Crop Worker performs picking, deleaf and general clean up requirements as directed by supervisor and informing their supervisor of any and all problems in the work area. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembling, installing and some minor maintenance task needed to start operations of facility. DELEAF - Using designated equipment, ensure that the correct amount of leaves is carefully removed without causing damage to plant, lines, or fruit. Ensure that plant is properly accommodated on plant support. Examine plants and surroundings, keeping area clean and free of weeds and bottom suckers. Check general appearance of plants, health, color, sign of disease and sign of pests, etc. Clean up and remove old leaves and other plant debris from crop row to ensure that greenhouse is left in a clean condition. Fix and/or inform supervisor of broken or missing drippers, water leaks, broken glass, flooded areas, etc. Ensure that all equipment (picking carts, etc.) are kept clean and report any problems to crew leader. Must attend safety meetings and training sessions as directed. Performs other related duties as assigned by management associated with removal of old crop and planting of new crop. Load empty boxes and unload full boxes onto pallets and reload cart with empty boxes/packing trays. Other roles and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
