Part Time Sandblaster We are a locally owned business focused on providing local commercial and industrial customers quality paint/powder finishes to meet end customer needs. The blaster we are seeking will be a critical support role before the powder coating/painting process. They properly sandblast metal parts removing all foreign debris for coating in accordance with standard practices. We service all types of local manufacturers and as a result we have work of all shapes and sizes, often requiring the use of a forklift and/or other material handling equipment to safely handle and move. No experience necessary. If you are a hard worker, can use tools, and don’t mind getting dirty, you will be a great asset to our team. This is a part-time position. Approximate hours are 12 pm – 4 pm. Responsibilities • Blasting of metal parts with garnet to remove mil scale & oils providing a clean surface for powder coating and painting. • Prepares surfaces using blast equipment utilizing knowledge of the materials, tools and fixtures used in the process. • Adjusts regulation of air from compressor, varies concentration of grit to obtain required surface finish. • Inspects and maintains equipment for compliance with safety requirements. • Utilize and maintain all personal protective equipment in performance of assigned duties and tasks. • Maintaining and cleaning filters as needed. • Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications • Ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools and equipment • Strong communication and organization skills • Ability to speak English • Basic reading skills • Forklift experience • Able to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs. • Able to communicate and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere • Maintain schedule and tasks despite interruptions • Be able to take direct feedback on blasting performance and adjust as necessary Pay scale – Above Average
