If you are more than 20 minutes away this job will not make any sense for you so please read no further. DISTANCE MATTERS A GREAT DEAL. You will be using a hydraulic logsplitter. You must be very coordinated and safety conscious. You'll need to send me a pic of your driver's license. You must have your own, good vehicle and may not be dropped-off and picked-up by someone you know or by a car service. You must be VERY strong and VERY healthy. You must have always had outside work and not office work. I respect disabled people greatly but this is not the right job if you have disabilities, injuries or health problems. Generally you work alone. If someone else is within 30' you must wear a mask. Flu shots are required. When covid shots and boosters are readily available they will be required. Sometimes we have work 4 or 5 mornings a week, often 6 mornings. Saturday is often a longer day, possibly 8 hours. Sometimes we don't work on Mondays. You must be comfortable rolling and manipulating heavy, 16-inch long, cut-up log sections at a quick pace. You will be hauling these with a hand-truck. Smaller logs require bending and lifting. Rapidly stack firewood neatly with two hands, split firewood with a vertical hydraulic log splitter while sitting, carry small branches into the woods, sort wood types, bundle, restock. Spread mulch as needed, cleanup, straighten, organize, stack, manage garbage cans, do maintenance. Move this, move that, load this, unload that. General Helper. Hablo un poco de español. Your cell phone must remain in your car. This is a working person's job not an office worker's job. If heat, humidity, cold, light rain or light snow is a problem for you then this job isn't for you. If you did landscaping work 20 years ago and think it would be fun to work outside you aren't right. If hauling and stacking wood continuously may be too hard for you do not apply. We're out in the woods. You must bring a backpack or duffle bag with you. You'll need clothing for all weather conditions, water, snacks, lunch. $12/hr. Paid by Zelle or CashApp daily, not cash. Every 3 months your wage will go up by $1 until we reach $15.
