Job Description POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Service Technician SUPERVISOR'S TITLE:  General Manager DEPARTMENT: Production FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Paver Rescue is a privately-owned residential service company located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The primary focus of Paver Rescue is working with homeowners to restore and maintain their paver patios, driveways, pool decks and walkways, as well as their concrete surfaces. Paver Rescue is looking for a career minded individual possessing a good work ethic and eager to learn. The Maintenance Service Technician role will ensure that our client’s needs and expectations are met or exceeded, while also ensuring that the Paver Rescue vision and mission are being fulfilled. Your ability to create trust with our clients will allow our small business to grow through the continued yearly maintenance program. You will need to bring the following: • Ability to work with limited supervision and be able to motivate yourself and your teammates to achieve daily and weekly goals. • Effectively communicate with clients and your teammates throughout the restoration and maintenance process. • A High School degree or equivalent. • Previous experience helpful, but not necessary, in paver/concrete maintenance in a service-oriented setting would help you and us. POSITION PURPOSE To correctly apply and practice the expected maintenance processes and procedures and the ability to identify and repair paver patios. Enjoys challenges daily. Must enjoy working outdoors. Weather can be adverse from hot to cold. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • To properly and effectively pressure wash pavers and concrete. • To correctly identify and repair paver patios. • To understand the different sand and sealer types to be used during restoration. • To identify issues with patio, including pavers and edging. • To conduct yourself in a professional manner. • To complete jobs in a timely fashion with minimal supervision. • To be able to lift between 35-75 lbs. at a time, on a daily basis. QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience working outdoors. • Experience with maintenance and repair of paver/concrete a plus. • Being able to use hand tools such as saws, compactors, hammers, etc. • Have valid driver’s license. • Complete a successful background check, driving record check and drug screening. • Past experience dealing with customer interaction. • Good time management skills. • Good problem-solving skills. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience. • High School degree or equivalent. • Previous experience in paver/concrete maintenance and repair is a plus but not required. WORKING CONDITIONS, WAGES AND BENEFITS Job Type: Full-time Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (based upon experience and training)
