Start Date: March Closing Date: December Position Title: Golf Course Maintenance Laborer/Equipment Operator Job Type: Full-time seasonal, Part-time seasonal Position Description & Responsibilities: 1. Operate riding and walking equipment for maintenance of golf course greens, tees, fairways and rough 2. Assist in daily course set up for private events and regular play which includes: tee marker placement, cup changing, bunker maintenance and debris removal 3. Helps in special projects that includes: sod removal and installation, irrigation/drainage troubleshooting and installation, tree removal 4. Apply fertilizers and chemicals under the supervision of certified applicator Minimum Qualifications: 1. Working knowledge of and ability to use power tools and equipment 2. Enjoy working outdoors 3. Be able to perform job duties that requires walking, bending and light lifting 4. Ability to follow oral and written directions Hours of work: Monday-Friday 6 a.m-2:30 p.m., Saturday and/or Sunday 6 a.m.-9 a.m., misc Holidays Hourly wage: $11.25- $14.00 Benefits: Limited golf, golf outings, and uniform provided, lunches at minimal fee Special Instructions: Situated on the outskirts of Akron, Firestone Country Club has the finest 54 holes of golf of any private club in the country.
