Paradigm is looking for an Outside Plant Field Technician (OSP) to support our client, an engineering firm specializing in the telecommunications industry. Thank you!** Type: 6 month contract-to-hire Location: Houston, TX Pay Rate: DOE Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, sick leave Responsibilities of the Outside Plant Field Technician: - Contact customers to schedule site visits to assess current and proposed telecom facilities - Visit sites and coordinate the placement of new fiber cable and equipment - Use a computer to assemble sketches and field documents to deliver to Design and Drafting staff - Work with a measuring wheel and height stick to check distances, specifications, and to make sure the contractor is doing the job properly - Work directly with the cable installation contractors and manage the process by documenting and making sure the work is being done properly - Sign off on the work performed Our skills and experience wish list includes: - Prefer Associates degree in Civil Engineering or OSP/Field Technician experience - Mandatory OSP/ISP design experience with fiber and copper cable - Must understand telecom practices - Be able to use a computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Earth and Dropbox - Ability to manage schedules to meet critical deadlines - Must have excellent communication skills - Availability to work overtime as needed - Work from home and provide own transportation, computer, and cell phone (standard reimbursement) **To apply, please email your resume to the email address provided in this post.
