Hosting open interviews Monday-Friday 10AM-3PM visit 2555 Moreland Ave. SE, Atlanta, GA 30315 and ask for Brian Bosserman JOB SUMMARY: As a saw operator you will provide cut materials such as boards, stringers, blocks and paper by setting up and operating a cutting machine. To be a saw operator you must have the ability to: Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering materials and supplies needed for specifications on related work orders Set up/prepare saw and other cutting equipment for safe use by adjusting saw blades using wrenches and rulers or by turning hand wheels or pressing pedals, levers, or panel buttons Examine lumber in order to plan the best cut Stand and run machinery for extended periods of time Identify, grade, sort and store cut materials to company specifications Provide cut materials according to company specifications using various types of cutting machines and other hand tools; i.e., a hammer (for nail removal) or a push block Inspect and measure work pieces to mark for cuts and to verify the accuracy of cuts using rulers, squares, caliper rulers, or tape measures Document production logs Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other related duties as needed. HOURS: 7:00AM-3:30PM Monday - Friday QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 18 years or older MUST BE A HARD WORKER Construction experience a plus Landscaping experience a plus Manufacturing experience a plus Ability to operate electrical power tools Ability to lift 65+ pounds Drug free work environment
