We are a medium sized design-build firm with a mission to make New York City a greener place. We are looking for someone who would like to grow with us. The perfect candidate will be friendly, organized and fascinated by the plant world. Garden knowledge, creativity and special talents are a huge plus! We are seeking a seasonal gardener to help maintain gardens across NYC/Brooklyn. You will work alone or in a team with other gardeners. You’ll spend about 90% of your time in the field visiting a variety of gardens, and 10% at the office recording notes and prepping for the next day’s work. Experience is great, but we are more interested in your willingness to learn. The right person will be reliable, punctual and easy-going. Curiosity for plants and horticulture is a must. Requirements: • Able to lift 50 pounds or more • Friendly and discrete • Good time management skills • Availability for long seasonal hours • Ability to take direction, prioritize and multi-task • Energetic, motivated and hardworking with attention to detail • Punctual, dependable, and willing to work in all weather • Spanish speaking is a plus Start date: On or before March 1 Typical hours: 7:30am-5pm Job type: full time Seasonal or full time with room to grow
