Description
Seeking a weatherization / insulation installer. The installer will work as a member of a crew to efficiently and effectively complete all project duties assigned by the crew chief.
The weatherization installer will be responsible for providing weatherizing improvements to make building structures more energy efficient in existing homes. Improvements will include, but are not limited to: installing blown-in cellulose, fiberglass, foam air sealing, propavents, vapor barrier, and rigid foam board. The position will also require completing work on siding, roofing, sheet-rocking and basic carpentry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* be able to work in tight confined spaces such as kneewalls, attics and crawlspaces.
* be able to work in different extreme temperatures.
* be comfortable working on ladders to install required roof ventilation and wall insulation.
* be able to install insulation materials.
* be able to ensure compliance with industry standards, OSHA and other safety work practices.
* be dependable and responsible.
* have a valid driver's license and vehicle.
* have basic hand tools and OSHA approved boots.
* be able to use, clean and maintain tools and equipment.
* pass background check, including verification of social security number and drug test.
