Agenda / Location / Cost This class is a two-day intensive course that will, upon successful completion, qualify the student to apply for the Illinois Concealed Carry License. The course includes instruction in the following areas: pistol components and operation, ammunition, safe handling of pistols, operating a pistol, cleaning, storing and transporting pistols, shooting fundamentals, shooting positions, improving and maintaining shooting skills, and considerations when buying a pistol. State and federal law and live-fire shooting qualification are also an important component of the class. Successful completion provides a certificate and students can then apply for their Illinois Concealed Carry License. TWO DAY COURSE: Day One: 9AM-5PM: Double Tree Suites and Hilton Conference Center 2111 Butter field Road, Downers Grove, IL 60515 Day Two: 9AM-2PM: Double Tree Suites and Hilton Conference Center 2111 Butter field Road, Downers Grove, IL 60515 3PM-5PM: Article II Range 250 Cortland, Lombard IL Firearms are not required or permitted at the hotel for the classroom portion of the course. Live ammunition is not permitted during the classroom portion of the course. Although not required, students who do not already have their Illinois FOID cards are encouraged to apply before the class at the Illinois State Police website under firearm services. Class size limited to comply with COVID19 restrictions. The hotel has a Starbucks for coffee and lunch snacks. Course cost is $200 and the range fee is $15. Gun and ammo are available for rental from Instructor(s) for $25. If you wish to obtain the NRA Basic Pistol certificate, there is an additional cost of $35. A high-quality Basics of Pistol Shooting reference book is provided with this option and is highly recommended. The certificate allows students to enroll in Utah's concealed carry course. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration with the balance due on the first day of class. Please contact J.
