NEW LONDON, CT — According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 1,613 New London residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. There are 26,858 New London residents and 6 percent of them have received their first dose. New London has 1,377 residents over the age of 75 and 438 of them have received their first dose or 32 percent, according to state health officials. Since the pandemic began in March, New London has reported 2,683 cases and 24 deaths.
