NEW HAVEN, CT — According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 9,472 New Haven residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. There are 130,250 New Haven residents and 7 percent of them have received their first dose. New Haven has 5,550 residents over the age of 75 and 2,079 of them have received their first dose or 37 percent, according to state health officials. Since the pandemic began in March, New Haven has reported 10,008 cases and 169 deaths.
