MERIDEN, CT — According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 4,671 residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. There are 59,395 residents and 7.86 percent of them have received their first dose. Meriden has 4,006 residents over the age of 75 and 1,307 of them have received their first dose or 32 percent, according to state health officials. Since the pandemic began in March, Meriden has reported 6,076 cases and 123 deaths.
