Press release from the City of Iowa City: February 2, 2021 Organics collection will be suspended for Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, due to the forecasted winter storm for our area. Thursday's organics collection will be collected the following week on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021. Garbage and recycling will run as regularly scheduled. Please place carts in your driveway or on a cleared, flat spot. For customer and staff safety, carts should not be placed on snow piles.
