Muscongus Bay Aquaculture and Dodge Cove Marine Farm are looking to hire someone to be an integral part of our facilities and maintenance team. Our facilities team help keep everything up and running; fixing and troubleshooting on the fly, while also working with construction and maintenance schedules. The team is key to the smooth running of the farm and hatchery facilities. Minimum 5 years or more experience in one or more of the following trades: • Electrical, • Plumbing/H.V.A.C., • Mechanical, • Carpentry/joinery, • Fiberglass • Boat handling and trailering • Snow plowing • Forklift operations Job Requirements and Responsibilities • Construction and installation of gear/adjunct facilities on either an assisted or unassisted level • Individuals must have the ability to work safely and neatly in both indoor and outdoor environments, throughout all seasons. • Stationary and hand-held power tool operation • Daily set-up and clean-up of equipment, tools, materials and job-site debris • Able to lift 50 lbs. • Able to work on feet/expect moderate to heavy activity levels • Work independently or in a team-based environment • Basic computer skills Qualities of Candidate • Detail oriented • Organized and methodical • Flexible and able to adapt to changes in schedule • Able to learn quickly • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Amenable to taking on additional work duties as required • Ability to accept and take on more responsibility
