Press release from the City of Greensboro:
Post Date:02/04/2021 9:29 AM
Effective Monday, March 1, Access GSO riders whose trips fall within the federally-defined ADA "premium" service area will be required to complete their travel using Access I-Ride when traveling during the following times:
Monday – Friday 8 pm to 11:30 pm Saturday 6 am to 6 pm Sunday 6 am to 6 pm. The premium service area is defined as the area over three-quarters of a mile from regular Greensboro Transit Agency service within the City limits. Premium travel Monday through Friday 5:30 am to 8 pm will require no change. Also, there is no change with regular ADA service seven days a week.
Travel on Access I-Ride offers many benefits including individual and direct travel to your destination, and reservations accepted for as little as two hours in advance. I-Ride cost, beginning at a minimum of $6 per trip, varies with the length of the trip and whether a wheelchair-capable vehicle is required. Access GSO reservationists will tell you if your trip falls under this service change at the time of booking.
You can learn more on the I-Ride page. For questions about this change, please contact George Linney at 336-373-2724 or Courtney Rorie at 336-373-2166.
