CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the public's help locating a man accused of stabbing two victims on a city bus Wednesday afternoon.
The Feb. 3 incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on a Charlotte Area Transit System bus while it was in the 2100 block of East 7th Street.
According to CMPD, a man riding the buss pulled out a machete and stabbed the two bus passengers. The suspect was last seen walking on 7th Street.
The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police described the suspect as a black male who is 5-foot, 7-inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacked, beige pants and brown shoes. He wore a black mask over his face.
CMPD said that anyone in the community who has information about the suspect's identity is asked to call 911, or leave information anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
