The workshop is for educators interested in learning more about how to increase the amount of science taught in the classroom.
In partnership with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, INFINITY Science Center invites educators to join us for Bridging the Gap: Integrating Science Using Trade Books.
This workshop will begin with a classroom session in which participants will learn about the importance of choosing appropriate literature for teaching science focusing on anthropomorphism, ecology, and conservation. This classroom session will include selected readings, hands on activities, which teachers can take back to their classrooms. There will be a time of building an actual lesson from a group of previously chosen literature. The workshop is for anyone interested in science, math, literature, history and learning more about how to increase the amount of science taught in the classroom.
Lunch and CEU's are included.
Social distancing will be observed and masks are required.
