Solar Apprentice Position: Work for one of the largest and well-respected HVAC companies in San Diego - Action Air Conditioning, Heating & Solar. A Solar installer will be working with a team to install solar Photovoltaics onto residential and commercial buildings. You will work with a team up to 4 to install roof attachments, seal roof penetrations, install racking, some wiring and set roof panels. Employment type: Full time Compensation: DOE Job Duties: Install roof mounted solar panels Comply with job site safety programs Complete installation on various roof types in timely manner Report to crew lead and work in concert with 3-4 other workers on a job site Follow instructions of crew foreman/lead Job clean up at end of day Ensure high quality and best practices used throughout installation Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience Valid driver's license Personal hand tools and cordless drills (18 V or equivalent) Be able to lift 50 lbs regularly throughout the day Comfortable with heights Be able to interact professionally with customers Read and understand blueprints and schematics Mental toughness to complete installations on schedule Pay begins at these tiers: Benefits: Competitive pay 401k match $25,000 paid term life insurance 100% paid employee medical Paid vacation Paid sick leave Paid holidays Dental insurance Vision insurance Company vehicle *Enjoy working for a stable company with a 40 year history.
