Responsibilities: Position Objective: The prime function of the Small Engine Mechanic is to carry out repairs of small engine equipment and tools to ensure that it is received in good working condition Position Responsibilities: • Service equipment as required to ensure proper working condition when leaving the shop. • Fabricate parts and equipment as required to meet shop and customer needs. • Perform safety inspections on equipment and maintains a clean and safe shop work environment. • Cleans the shop and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment. • Meets all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements. • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. • Superior Customer Service is a must Qualifications: Years Experience: • 1 -2 years experience with similar equipment Other requirements: • Ability to safely and effectively use tools and equipment • Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments • Must have good written and verbal communication skills • Ability to prioritize work assignments • Ability to trouble shoot equipment problems • Exhibit personal and professional integrity • Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety • Must be flexible regarding work assignments • Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness • Spanish Speaking is a plus • Possess a working knowledge of individual equipment design and safety requirements
