Volumod is a new start up modular manufacturing group of partners located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Volumod is a fully integrated business model designed to manufacture modular solutions for our investors who provide the opportunity to control each project and all manufactured product from land to lockup. The factory is forecasted to manufacture up to 214 modules / 32,000 square feet of product per month by the end of 2021, and for an additional ramp up in capacity of 25% by the end of 2022. We plan to build more than 2075 modules/ 1,000,000 square feet over the first four years. Volumod is currently seeking a Foreman Plumber. The Foreman Plumber is responsible for leading plant employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment for off-site construction of modular homes. This position plans, executes, and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. This position drives continuous improvement through the plant operation and leads the workforce as necessary to maintain a high level of morale. Functional Duties: Licensed Plumber who both works and leads others doing plumbing work. Balance safety, quality, cost, productivity adn to achieve positive results in all areas. Assemble & install residential entire plumbing systems with PVC, PEX, Copper, etc. Ability to properly operate power tools, and associated equipment. Installation of water heater, & water softener systems, and household appliances Lead crew meetings to communication key production topics and engage with the workforce. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing problems. Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment and safety and health management program. Ability to mentor/teach all levels of apprentices. Required Education and Experience requirements: Indiana Licensed Plumber Four years of experience in residential/commercial plumbing trade Good people skills, good attitude, and the ability to operate as part of a team. Read blueprints and perform layouts. Must be able to work unassisted with little supervision. Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions. Preferred Education and Experience requirements: Offsite / Modular Construction Experience Minimum of 8 years’ experience in residential, modular and / or multi-family construction An accountable attitude with a commitment to accuracy Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement. Detail oriented and comfortable with manufacturing process Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, bending. May have periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Benefits: Our people are the organization' greatest asset.
