original eclectic environmentalist indie rock band looking for a guitarist and/or keyboardist. horns (sax, trumpet, trombone... clarinet?) also welcome. pre-covid we were playing about a show a month at local venues, we will look to play a few outdoor shows this summer then see what the world looks like after that. low pay, if you're in the local original music scene you know how it goes, sorry. we don't ask for a lot of rehearsal time - there are recordings and sheet music for everybody (guitar tabs can also be arranged), you can work on your parts on your own then we can put it all together in one or two rehearsals. we have a few different rehearsal location options depending on what's best for everybody: Fairfield, Stamford, Oxford, New Haven influences include Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Frank Zappa, Sufjan Stevens, Stephen Sondheim, and Bernie Sanders the band is mostly queer and mostly women, we value diversity - female, LGBTQ+, and POC musicians strongly encouraged to apply. some of the songs are about progressive social and political issues, ours is a left-leaning political space. send me an email, tell me about yourself, attach a demo of your playing if you have something, I'll send you some recordings, and we'll go from there. thanks!
