Registration link: https://www.cvent.com/d/1jqlb3 Prerequisite: SE Beginning I or higher Learning Objectives: ~ Experience how co-regulation is often the missing building block for deepening repair within the tender places in your spiritual practice ~ Develop tools to enhance the internalized feeling of support and self-regulation during spiritual practice ~ Use your SE skills to create a resourced holding environment with your client and yourself so that Being in these subtle places can "knit" back together (undercoupling) ~ Track and titrate the places where you may get stuck or activated in your contemplative practice (overcoupling & undercoupling) ~ Understand possible developmental underpinnings to rupture in your contemplative practice ~ Listening with Polyvagal Theory in mind to the symptoms of the spiritual wound ~ Connecting with our felt spiritual support through one’s unique experience (ancestors, stillness, bliss, God, felt community, emptiness, etc.) We will be learning through exercises, practice groups and large group reflection. All are welcome from any spiritual tradition or contemplative practice. It is not required that you attended the first workshop in this series; anyone having taken Beginning I or higher in the SE Professional Training Program is welcome to join. Please note: this event will only be recorded and made available for those who've registered and attended live to preserve the confidentiality of the group. This workshop will be 10am - 6pm Eastern time, with 1 hour lunch break and two 15 minute breaks. Dr. Glyndie Nickerson is a faculty member of the Somatic Experiencing Institute, holds a PhD in clinical psychology, Glyndie’s SE work is informed by current neuropsychological research and the biopsychosocial model, as well as object relations, attachment theory, Jungian, and relational psychoanalysis perspectives. She has a background in bodywork, energy healing, yoga teaching, and Buddhist practice. She has worked in community mental health in LA and in Western Massachusetts, overseas in South India with tsunami victims, domestic abuse survivors, with Tibetan ex-political prisoners. She taught for 7 years at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. She is interested in the creative and spiritual development that can come through nurturing a resilient nervous system, and supports in her teaching the relationship between trauma healing, and the awakening to a greater sense of wholeness and connection. You will receive the Zoom link to access the program 12 - 24 hours before the event begins.
