Cover Band Looking To Add Another Lead Vocalist / Singer

Baltimore MD

Description

Cover band looking to branch out and add an additional, female lead vocalist / singer. We currently have two male singers, and we decided we want to branch out and add female vocals. Ability to play an instrument is a plus - would be useful for some songs. The plan is to have the new singer do half the set list (so around 18 songs). Could be more or less, depending on preferences and how things go. The group has been together since March. We're all young professionals with day jobs, doing this for fun. We cover popular songs of all genres, from the 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, and recent. Since we're doing this for fun, we're looking for someone who's easy to get along with, in addition to being reliable and willing to put in the time and effort. We all live around the DMV area, and currently practice in Baltimore. It's a good rehearsal space, but if you prefer somewhere else we would be open to considering it. Here's our current song list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1so8FKdI5Dhyb__ghfzhC1sMMrIwOVQjzYbgeQJ8Ru1o/edit?usp=sharing We're planning on adding new songs for the female singer to sing, and we're open to giving some of the current songs if it works better. You can help pick which songs you sing, of course. If there are any popular songs you've sung/performed in the past, feel free to suggest them. And here's a list of female-vocal songs some of us have performed on instruments in the past: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cltOFUyd6yi_TnCikWXLZTBNe0oCsu3wcE2q3CcaP_o/edit?usp=sharing Also open to adding more songs for you to sing even if they're not originally for a female vocalist, if it sounds good. We have a huge list of more songs some of us have done in the past - picking some of these would get us show-ready a lot quicker. One of our members knows a guy who's a booking agent who he's worked with to get shows for his past cover bands. The booking agent is good at getting a lot of shows at random bars around the area. Obviously we haven't been able to do that so far this year, with the pandemic restrictions, but definitely when things open up more. And we do know how to get some shows at a few low-key places already, even with the pandemic. We also know how to get really good shows at beaches in the area (after things open up more). If you're interested, send us any samples you have (video preferred) and tell us a little about yourself and your music background.
