Valdez Construction, Inc. is a general contracting company based in Oak Harbor, WA. Our company specializes in commercial, federal and public works contracting in the Pacific Northwest Region. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team. LEADERSHIP • Responsible to protect and promote the interest of Valdez Construction, Inc. in all matters • Assist in early stages of project estimating, planning and scheduling • Be proactive in the identification of potential problems and recommend solutions • Provide centralized leadership and guidance at project level • Use resources within and outside the organization to execute duties in an effective manner • Keep project managers informed on status of projects SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT • Coordinate and directly manage subcontractors and suppliers • Develop and implement site safety plans and inspections • Perform daily Quality Control checks of work being performed • Produce daily Construction Status Reports • Manage project schedule and create project look ahead schedules • Proactively identify potential problems, issue appropriate documentation and recommend solutions • Participate in meetings as required • Manage employees to maximize production QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledgeable in all construction trades • Motivated, self-starter who wants to seek growth, knowledge, and challenges • Preferred Qualifications: o 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent o Proven success in supervising single projects in excess of $3 million. o Commercial and Public Works Construction is highly desirable o Possess computer skills with Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Project).
