Young family in Los Angeles (Nichols Canyon area) looking for a right-hand partner to help manage the household and care for their joyful, 1 year old son. Family is seeking someone who walks into the house every day with a great attitude and a loving, happy disposition. One where the baby is ecstatic to see because of her positive energy. Two-year commitment ideal. The ideal candidate must be current on vaccines and open to getting COVID vaccination down the road. The optimal Nanny will share similar tolerances when it comes to exposure during the Pandemic. Client has a strict policy in place about social distancing and will expect their candidate to do the same as Grandparents will be in and out of the home. Everyone's health and safety are of the utmost importance. Must be willing to take a COVID test as requested. Must be an experienced, mature candidate who knows how to run a home, be of help to a family, and anticipate needs. Desire to educate and provide domestic support is important. Both parents work full-time, demanding jobs, and are looking for someone who will care for their child like their own and handle household duties so they are able to come home and enjoy time with their baby. MUST BE PRESENT - We are not looking for someone who will be on their cell phone, laptop, or watching tv. If you cannot step away from your technology, this is NOT the role for you. Schedule: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend (Tuesday-Saturday ideal) 10 am to 7 pm with an occasional date night or overnight needed Pay: $20 per hour + additional benefits such as PTO and paid holidays Your key attributes: Calm and gentle - does not overstimulate Joyful personality - always in a good mood Can-do attitude - does not get flustered Great and direct communicator - maintains daily log on how the day went and pertinent details of a child’s development Loves being a nanny - doesn’t view this as a job, but more an opportunity to help mold a child and make a positive impact on their development and the family as a whole Safe, loving, and nurturing Reliable and Punctual Multi-tasks with ease Flexible - must be somewhat flexible with hours Proactive - anticipate the needs of the family before being asked Primary responsibilities - first and foremost, creating an attentive and loving environment for the child Create a stimulating environment filled with play that is both educational and fun Maintain a routine schedule for both the baby and family Reading, singing, and sensory play Makes suggestions on toys and activities Secondary responsibilities - household management Light tidying and laundry Meal preparation for the baby and family Dishes as needed Light Errands such as grocery shopping Must Haves: CPR & First Aid Clean driving record, no DUI or DWI Non-Smoker 3+ years of nanny experience 3+ years of experience working with infants Safe car for running errands Be able to provide 3 - 5 supervisory references Healthy and active - able to take multiple walks per day and hold and carry the baby Child development background ages and stages a plus Must be willing to sign NDA
