Professional Orange County bassist available to teach private or small-group lessons on Bass Guitar or Double Bass. Familiar with all styles, including pop, jazz, rock and roll, latin, and reggae. My rate is $40 per hour, and I teach virtually until the end of the pandemic. Some topics I teach, depending on the interest of the student: Bass principles and technique Common bass lines for every style, and how to make them your own Improvisation, including walking bass lines, fills, and soloing Theory, including reading, scales/modes, Keys and Time Signatures, and harmony, with an emphasis on practical use The role of the bass in an ensemble I teach beginners through early advanced students, and the first lesson (30 minutes) is free. For students brand new to the bass, I have a 5 lesson "crash course" on the instrument (complete with PDF lesson plans) to get you ready to jam with others!
