Assist Facility Manager by performing tasks related to overall maintenance and security of Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services facilities and grounds. Essential Responsibilities Facility Duties: • Assist in general maintenance of facility; e.g., replace light bulbs, repair drywall, and painting. • Receive and document incoming deliveries; e.g., supplies and meals. • Receive, transport, and assemble furniture and equipment. • Package and document outbound shipments; e.g., equipment and linen. • Deliver and document delivery of materials to designated areas. • Prepare clinics for studies; e.g., clean restrooms and make beds. • Operate all cleaning equipment; e.g., vacuum cleaner and floor buffer. • Perform general housekeeping of offices, restrooms, and clinic areas; e.g., sweeping, mopping and vacuuming; cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, dusting, and cleaning windows. Security Duties: • Maintain accurate and detailed log of all activities during shift. • Monitor, document, and respond to security and freezer alarm systems. • Perform and document facility inspections at designated intervals. • Complete Incident Reports for all unusual events; e.g., disruptive participant, workplace injuries, damage to facility or equipment. • Oversee receipt, delivery, and dispatch of mail and packages. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules and regulations, and maintenance instructions. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.. • Ability to prepare routine documents and write basic correspondence; e.g., Purchase Orders, Incidents Reports and security logs • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral and written communication. • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
