STOUGHTON, MA — Eighteen CVS locations across Massachusetts will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines next week as part of the federal government's effort to broaden vaccine accessibility. Massachusetts CVS locations will have 21,600 doses to start, and more locations and appointments will become available as the vaccine supply increases. The closest locations in the Stoughton area will be in Randolph and Braintree. Click here to see the full list of participating cities and towns. Appointment-only vaccinations will begin Feb. 11 and bookings will be available as early Feb. 9. People will be encouraged to utilize an online scheduling tool. Only residents eligible under state guidelines will be able to get the vaccine. Massachusetts this week started Phase Two of its plan, vaccinating people 75 and over. See who else will soon be eligible. CVS is getting a quarter-million doses of the vaccine through a pharmacy partnership program with the federal government. The RI-based retailer is offering the vaccine in 11 states to start. The move will expand access for residents who have been frustrated about how and where to get vaccinated. Vaccinations for Stoughton residents 75 and over start Thursday, but the town only has enough COVID-19 vaccine doses for 50 people.
