ROCKVILLE, MD — Residents are invited to weigh in on a draft executive order that would reopen indoor dining at 25 percent capacity.
County Executive Marc Elrich's order would also impose a one-hour time dining limit on customers, and require restaurants to keep a daily log of customers' contact tracing information for at least 30 days.
Alcohol sales would be suspended after 10 p.m.
The proposal must be approved by the County Council. If approved, the restrictions will go into effect on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 5 p.m.
A public hearing and vote will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 9, starting at 10:05 a.m.
Residents who would like to call in to testify at Tuesday's public hearing need to preregister on the council's webpage at https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/council/calendar.html. Once the signup request form is submitted and the public hearing list is created, individuals will receive separate confirmation notifications that include the appropriate phone number to call.

The deadline to sign up to testify is Monday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m.
