Axiom Design Build has immediate openings on our construction team. We have positions open for entry level, journeyman, and finish carpenters. The carpenters and craftspeople at Axiom are the core of our field operations and a critical part of our company's success. Optimal candidates will be respectful and friendly, possess a strong work ethic, and adapt easily to changing field conditions. In addition to performing framing and finish carpentry for our custom homes and remodels, Axiom's carpenters assist with many other aspects of the trade. Our carpenters are part of a tight-knit team and are often asked to coordinate and assist with demolition, hauling debris, and keeping work areas clean and safe. Axiom engages in high-end, custom residential projects in many communities throughout Seattle. Regardless of project location, scale, or budget, our field crew is expected to provide the highest level of customer service at all times. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, focus in custom residential preferred. Applicants with 1-2 years of experience in the trades, who are excited to grow their skills, are encouraged to apply for entry level carpenter positions. Applicants seeking lead level positions will have experience with home construction from foundation through framing. Ability to layout and set concrete forms; perform framing layouts and material take-offs, siding, window and door installation, interior and exterior trim. Fine finish work and cabinet installation is not required but highly desirable. All applicants must have basic carpentry tools. The more prepared and tooled up the greater asset you can be to our team. Ability to read and interpret architectural floor plans, elevations, and structural plans.
