Job Summary *** Note: If you apply for this position without writing the required cover letter you will not be considered for this position*** Green Cooling Solutions is seeking an entry-level team member to join our growing team! This position is ideal for someone who has recently graduated from an HVAC program, High School or is ready for a career that does not involve the restaurant industry. We only open this apprentice position once a year, as last years apprentice graduates into independent HVAC work here. Candidates must be physically fit. Candidate must be willing to work in confined spaces, hot attics and outdoors in the sun. Candidate must have a pleasant attitude and fit into our upbeat, positive company culture. This position will be responsible for performing numerous tasks from simply being an extra set of hands for a Service Technician to being trained as an Installer and even organizing our warehouse. In return, within a year, through on the job training and our in house classes, if you work hard, we will turn you bonafide HVAC professional headed toward a long-term career! Responsibilities and Duties Job Description: Under the supervision of the Operations Manager and a Lead Installer, and in compliance with the industries best practices, you will need to perform residential HVAC installation work. This includes installing duct work, equipment and insulating attics. Working in confined spaces (attics) is an everyday part of this position and this industry as a whole. Qualifications and Skills Qualification Requirements: Candidate must live in Manatee or Sarasota County Must have transportation to and from work Positive, upbeat attitude. Legible handwriting. Ability to use a PC. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure and technical manuals. Ability to write routine invoices and correspondence..
