Choosing a good tutor is like choosing a good doctor or lawyer. It makes a world of difference.  I provide a free 30 minute, no obligation, lesson to students considering signing up.  You will learn the RIGHT way to solve every question, not by guessing / elimination / luck. Also you will learn all the math behind solving the questions, real reading skills to fully understand the passages, and all the grammar rules so you actually know what is grammatically wrong.  Students who have gone through other SAT / ACT tutoring come to me because the other tutoring didn't help.  You absolutely won't find anyone with more knowledge and teaching experience when it comes to the SAT & ACT I am a professional credentialed high school teacher and I have personally taken more than 40 SAT Exams and 30 ACT Exams. Unlike other tutors, this is my full time job 7 days a week.   I have taught more than 2000 students the SAT and ACT for more than 9 years. I have even taught the tutors and teachers who work at other companies and tutoring places.  If all tutoring for the was the same, logically you would just choose the cheapest place. Unfortunately for courses and tutoring are vastly different, and many tutoring and test prep companies lie and deceive unwitting parents and students with false score improvement guarantees, fake average score increases, and unsubstantiated claims of “best tutors” “elite instructors” “proven methodologies” “guaranteed results” >> OVERVIEW What sets me apart from every other test prep company and tutor out there is my experience and knowledge of the SAT & ACT. I am a professional credentialed high school teacher ( UC Berkeley, UC Davis, AP Computer Science ) and I teach the SAT & ACT FULL TIME 7 days a week, and I have been doing this for more than 9 years. I have personally taken more than 40 SAT exams and 30 ACT exams ( each exam is 3 hours, so that’s more than 210 hours just taking exams ) so I know what will show up on the test. I have personally taught more than 2000 students over 10 years. I not only teach students, but I teach other teachers and tutors HOW to teach. That’s what makes me so good at what I do.  I am able to do what other tutors / instructors cannot do: 1) Adjust every lesson in REAL-TIME for each student, even adjust explanations Because I have ALL of the material and more than 6000 questions memorized, the course and lesson content and speed are actually CUSTOMIZED & ADJUSTED IN REAL-TIME for each student, and even the explanations are customized to the level of each student, something simply NOT POSSIBLE with any other tutor or with a pre-structured course ( example: 3 Math lessons, 2 Reading lessons, 2 Essay lessons ). We will spend more time on areas that need more work, and allocate less time to higher scoring areas. 2) Uncover and identify what a student is doing WRONG in their approach and thinking, and teach students the RIGHT WAY to solve every question.  Most students don’t know what they are doing wrong. In fact, most students think they got the questions right and are surprised when they get them wrong. As we go through problems, I will ANALYZE and DIAGNOSE what students are doing WRONG in their approach and thinking, and make corrections.  Students will learn the actual concepts and knowledge underlying the ACT or SAT, and also the RIGHT WAY ( and WRONG WAY ) to solve every question, not by lucky guessing / strategies / tricks.  3) Take every student to the limit of their ability by adjusting the difficulty of the material I will push every student to his or her limit to get every last point. If you don’t improve with me, you won’t improve with anyone else. These are PRIVATE ONE on ONE lessons taught personally by me, not by some other tutor or part-time worker. I'm based in Walnut Creek California but we do all lessons using a private conference call with digital whiteboard. That way you don't need to drive anywhere and we can do lessons almost any time 7 days a week. All the course and learning materials have been written by me personally.
