Share your houseplant hobby with the East Bay plant community, amidst servings of baked goods and conversations. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is an in-person event hosted outdoors at Strawberry Creek Park, Berkeley. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seed and Soul Club is excited to host our very first East Bay Plant Swap! Please be patient and flexible with us as we navigate hosting an in-person event during such times. ---- About a Safe Event ---- - Please bring and wear your mask. - Masks and hand-sanitizers will be provided. - Please stay home if you are exhibiting, or were recently exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. - This is an outdoor event with plenty of space to move around and socially-distant. - There is a possibility of us moving this date, depending on the COVID situation then. - Baked goods will be served in single-use compostable containers. - The organizers reserve the right to turn away attendees who violate any of our event-safety policies. - All refund requests will be honored. ----- About the Swap ----- - 10am - 12pm. - Your spot is secured through a paid $10 Eventbrite ticket. Your Facebook 'attending' label does not guarantee a spot. - Attendance capped at 20. - Bring potted plants and/or cuttings. - Plants should be labeled ahead of the swap with plant name and your name. - Plants must be pest-free. - Leased, well-behaved furry friends are welcomed! The way the swap works: ⁠ You bring a plant 🌿, you get sticker(s) 🎟️ per plant, you bid for other plants 🌿🌿 using that sticker, and you walk home 🏡 with new plant. The more plants you bring, the more stickers you get! --- About the $10 Registration Fee --- The registration fee will go towards purchasing masks, hand sanitizers, baked goods and other supplies. ----- About Seed and Soul Club ----- The Club sprung up from a desire to spread joy and cultivate community through plants and events.
