MOORESVILLE, NC — A Mooresville man has been arrested and now faces more than a dozen child pornography charges following an investigation that involved the North Carolina Bureau of Investigations and the Department of Homeland Security, Mooresville Police Department said Tuesday.
Joshua Glenn Lambert, Jr., 18, was arrested following a Feb. 1 search of his home and charged with 13 counts of felony second degree sexual exploitation of a minor, MPD said.
The arrest came less than one week after the police department received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children concerning the sexual exploitation of a minor in the town limits of Mooresville, MPD said in a statement.
"According to the initial report, an unknown person(s) was using various internet sites to upload videos of underage children engaged in sexual acts and activity," MPD said.
According to police, investigators launched a forensic investigation into various internet sites and uploaded files associated with the report, and obtained a search warrant for Lambert's resident in the 600 block of Reed Creek Road in Mooresville, where several electronic devices were found.
Following his arrest, Lambert was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. He was issued a $75,000 secured bond, MPD said.
