The Commons: 15 Artists, 15 Spaces, a COVID-19 Artist Relief Initiative The Commons-Let’s Go Fly a Kite Artist Anthony Burks, Sr. Saturday February 20, 2021 Meyer Amphitheater, Downtown West Palm Beach Let’s Go Fly A Kite! will be led by local artist Anthony Burks, Sr. who will be painting on stage and demonstrating how to create our own unique kite art. Artist Anthony Burks, Sr. is a native Floridian a fine and commercial artist who works in a variety of media including pen & ink, pastels, watercolor and color pencil. “As a child one of my greatest pass times was to go outside and fly my kites. The one thing I wish I was able to do was create my one design. This is a creative way to have outdoor activities and still practice social distancing. It is a great family activity; design and fly their own kites.” This event is part of The Commons: 15 Artists, 15 Spaces, a COVID-19 Artist Relief Initiative presented by the ArtLife WPB City of West Palm Beach public art program. Location: Meyer Amphitheater, Downtown WPB Date: Saturday February 20, 2021 Time: 2-4pm FREE & Open to the Public REGISTRATION REQUIRED All Art Supplies & Kites Provided We will be following CDC Guidelines and up to four family/group members can fit into one “pod” Parking Banyan Garage: 200 Banyan Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33401Evernia Garage: 333 Evernia St., West Palm Beach, FL 33401Event Site/Designated Area Use and Enjoyment Event begins at 2:00 pm. Gates will open at 1:30 pm. Upon arrival, please follow City staff directions on how to safely enter the event site and to be directed to your designated pod. You must have a ticket to enter the event. Pods cannot exceed 4 people at any time. You will be required to stay within your designated pod with your party during the entire event. If trips to the restrooms are necessary, attendees shall wear a mask or cloth face covering and maintain safe social distancing of six feet from all persons not associated with their party. Items Prohibited at the Event Site 1) Outside alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages. 2) Cannabis (marijuana), and/or illegal drugs. 3) Firearms or weapons of any kind. 4) Coolers. General Rules 1) The City is not responsible for damage to personal property. 2) Please do not leave your children unattended. Minors must be accompanied with an adult (person over 18) of your party at all times. 3) The City reserves the right to cancel the event. 4) Please follow all posted instructions while visiting our facility.
