Guitar player with 20 years experience looking to take on new students who want to better their knowledge, understanding and proficiency in the instrument. Serious players welcome, as well as those who are simply looking to have some fun playing guitar in their down time. I am proficient in many genres, including blues, rock, reggae, country, acoustic, jazz, and several others. Whatever style you desire to learn, I can happily brush up and show you the basics. I do not focus so much on sight reading as I do understanding the instrument itself and how to become good at playing the music that you enjoy playing. The age range I prefer for my students is anywhere from 2-99, all ages welcome. I am also a vocalist so I am happy to accompany your guitar or bass lessons with some basics in vocal technique as well. I have my own rehearsal space to meet at in Lafayette.
